WHAT TYPE OF EDUCATION DOES GHANA NEED TO PRODUCE THE HUMAN RESOURCES NEEDED FOR ENHANCING ECONOMIC GROWTH AND DEVELOPMENT? Part 3

The problem of today’s education is, training too many students to be employees instead of entrepreneurs, to be workers rather than capitalist, leading to continuous and increasing unemployment rate. Our country needs people who will complete school to establish great organizations and contribute to the nation's economic and infrastructural development. The absence of this can intensify the unemployment rate of the country and make it reach astronomical proportions in the next generations.
According to Jack Ma, “Among all the challenges, I think the most challenging thing is about education” even today, the best university of the world will face the same challenges because everything we've been teaching our kids for the past 200 years, machines can do them better. So we have to think about what are the contents to teach our kids in the future, we have to teach the kids to win the machines.
The machines will never be able to win man because I belief, machine only have the chips, human have the heart. So I think we have to change our traditional  education system. In the future, it’s not about the competition of knowledge. It’s a competition of creativity, a competition of imagination, it’s a competition of learning, and it’s a competition of independent thinking.
If you think like a machine, the problem will come. In the past 20years we made people  to  look like machines. In the next 20years machine will look like people. So in the future it’s not knowledge-driven, it’s wisdom-driven, and experience-driven. In the past, it’s knowledge-driven, manufacturing-driven. In the future, it’s creativity-driven. So this is what I  think the world should be focusing on.
Any person is educated when he knows where to get knowledge, when needed, and how to organize that knowledge into definite plans of action. Therefore the education system has to produce real business people who can bring strategic and lasting transformation by solving social and economic problem for the others.

God bless you.
